As part of its coming out in 2009, the Micro Werks label put out a number of political spoken word compilations featuring the main principals from the 2008 campaign, including Sarah Palin, John McCain, and, of course, Barack Obama. While the Palin and McCain sets are to be played inevitably for laughs, DAYS OF HOPE is a more serious souvenir of the historic election. Whether any of Barack Obama's speeches will have the over-the-years staying power of Martin Luther King Jr.'s or even John Kennedy's is for the future to judge. In the meantime, this attractive little Micro Werk digipack is a convenient and inexpensive way to relive a bit of inspirational history.
