This CD is a straight reissue of the original LP. The Firehouse Five Plus Two, an upbeat Dixieland band, performs a dozen songs having to do with love, including ten that have "love" as part of their title ("Careless Love," "Love Is Just Around the Corner," "The Love Nest," "Love Songs of the Nile," etc.), but there is nothing sentimental or sticky about the music. The musicians, all employed at the time by Disney, romp through the tunes with their usual brand of good humor; the frontline of cornetist Danny Alguire, trombonist Ward Kimball and clarinetist George Probert keeps the results stimulating. ~ Scott Yanow
