Synopsis
This humorous novel by a former stand-up comic is set in White Falls, Minnesota, a town full of eccentrics and the home of lifelong friends, BiDi and Devera. Each woman copes with the approach of middle age in her own way--Devera has an affair with her night-school professor, as BiDi tries gamely to manage amid the non-stop action of her complicated family life.
