Movie Description
The hard work and hard-won rewards of life on the prairie in the late 19th-century are chronicled in this gentle drama of a pioneer family and their celebration of the holidays. Based on a book by Rose Wilder Lane, daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and recommended by the National Education Association.
Synopsis
As Christmas arrives, pioneers Molly and David recall the hardships of living in a strange new land and losing their only son to a "fever." What kept them going through the tough times, however, was the friendship and devotion of their neighbors. Now as they all gather for Christmas dinner, the two families find that despite their troubles they have much to be thankful for.
