For those listeners whose only exposure to African pop music is a few tracks on Paul Simon's GRACELAND, the tunes on WORLD IS AFRICA will be a real ear-opener. It's easy to forget that the Dark Continent is an unusually large and culturally diverse place, but the music here reflects Africa's incredible variety of modern sounds.
