Industry Reviews PreS-Gr 2 The youngest of four rabbits, Davy takes the news that his mother is expecting with more than a bit of trepidation. In fact, "he was wondering if he would still get second helpings of blueberries when there were seven mouths to feed." Some distinctly unhelpful advice from a friend doesn't make things better, but when the baby actually arrives, Davy has a chance to come to terms with the situation in his own way. This book has an overall sweetness that will appeal to parents and a child-centered story that will entertain young listeners. Tharlet skillfully uses paint and pencil to create a softly lit world of expressive animals. The plot itself is familiar, though, and breaks no new ground in this somewhat overcrowded area. For larger collections needing another "new baby" book and for those libraries where the previous two titles about Davy are popular. Lauralyn Persson, Wilmette Public Library, IL Lopate
