Movie Description
An anime classic, back on video after a prolonged absence. First in the MADHOUSE tradition that includes NINJA SCROLL, BIOHUNTER, and VAMPIRE HUNTER D, this is a supernatural thriller that is fairly graphic and more than a little disturbing. In it, the inhabitants of Earth have come into contact with the Black World, a parallel universe inhabited by incredibly intelligent and mysterious beings. The two worlds have lived in peace brokered by a weak treaty for the last 500 years, which is due to be renegotiated. Two guards, one human, one from the Black World, are assigned to keep the Earth's delegate safe from Black Worlders who would like to see the Earth taken over.
