Industry Reviews
Gr 3-5 Judy Scott's slumber party really is out of this world when two aliens disguised as human girls crash the fun. They are looking to capture one of the party-goers as an Earth specimen. When this plot is discovered, Judy and her friend defeat the villains by throwing anchovies at them and short-circuiting their systems. This series title has a thin plot, cardboard characters, an unbelievable ending, and a scare factor of zero. Black-and-white cartoon drawings add little to the text. For really good, humorous science fiction try Pamela Service's Stinker from Space (1988) and Stinker's Return (1993, both S & S). Elaine Lesh Morgan, Multnomah County Library, Portland, OR
