Synopsis A woman confronts her past in this work of romantic suspense. Ten years ago, Sayre Lynch cut all ties to her family and her hometown of Destiny, Louisiana. She was desperate to get away from her father, Huff Hoyle, a self-made tyrant who owns the iron foundry in town and cares little for worker safety or for unions. But the apparent suicide of her younger brother, Danny, brings her back to Destiny, her father, and her brother Chris, and introduces her to Beck Merchant, her father's lawyer, a good-looking man with a secret. It's not long before Sayre learns that Danny was actually murdered, and she then feels impelled to remain in town to discover the truth behind Danny's death and her father's corrupt business practices.
