Movie Description An uninvited guest appears at a small dinner party given by a schoolteacher in a middle-class Yorkshire town and mysteriously commits suicide the next day.
Synopsis Lonely teacher Jean Travers hosts a dinner party at her home one evening. In addition to the two couples she has invited, a young stranger named John Morgan also shows up. Everything seems just fine but, the next day, John returns to the home and shoots himself. Policeman Mike Langdon then arrives to investigate the mysterious suicide.
Meanwhile, as Jean also tries to figure out why it happened, her mind turns back to a tragedy earlier in her life involving a young man she was in love with...
