Industry Reviews PreS-Gr 1 A little girl awakens to find her surroundings soaked with rain. A glance outside the window reveals ``...wet trees wet leaves wet grass.'' After breakfast, the child dresses for her entrance into the ``wet world.'' Her day includes such activities as watching ``Windshield wipers wipe the wet...'' and splashing through puddles, and then she returns home, where everything is warm, from the stove to her parents' good-night kisses. She drifts off to sleep wondering what the world will be like tomorrow. The poetic text aptly and alliteratively moves through the youngster's day with a simplicity appropriate for beginning readers. The watercolor illustrations reflect the rainy weather. Bright colors indoors make quite a contrast to the grayness outside, and lend a feeling of coziness comforting to young children. A useful addition for units dealing with weather, or simply as a rainy-day read-aloud. Christina Linz, Alachua County Library District, Gainesville, FL Lopate
