To celebrate the 50th anniversary of WEST SIDE STORY, Decca Broadway issued a new recording of the beloved musical in 2007, which garnered a Grammy nomination. Featuring Hayley Westenra as Maria and Vittorio Grigolo as Tony, the album features a more orchestral/operatic atmosphere than past film or stage versions, as best exemplified by Grigolo's swooning rendition of "Maria" and Westenra's rapturous take on "Somewhere."
