Synopsis
A 3-part epic about a teenage boy's search for his lost father, which also serves as a parable for Latin American society and history.

17-year-old Martin Nunca, angry when his girlfriend chooses to have an abortion against his wishes, embarks on a journey to find his own father, whom he hasn't seen in years. Hitching a ride with a truck driver named Américo, he voyages from the north of Chile through Argentina and on to Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela and finally, Mexico.

On the way he encounters the various peoples, social structures and cultures that make up his continent -- and he learns that whether or not he finds his father, the odyssey itself may be enough.
