Details

Movie Description The premier episode of the surreal television series, where a straitlaced FBI agent must discover who killed the troubled, coke-addled high school prom queen in a small Pacific Northwest logging town whose bucolic exterior barely conceals an fetid underbelly of corruption and evil. Includes unaired footage which "solves" the mystery of the killing, seen in the U.S. as a dream sequence in the first regular episode. Features the soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti, including the theme song "Falling."
Film Notes A condensed version of the first season of "Twin Peaks", this movie also contains a strange scene in which everything and everyone moves backwards. This scene was never shown in the U.S.
Industry Reviews "...[A] hypnotic mystery....The best two hours of film you'll find anywhere these days..." Travers
"...What TWIN PEAKS brings home is how much the eerieness of Lynch's work makes sense if it's looked at in terms of a young adolescent's imagination..." Sight and Sound - Rob White (01/01/2003)
Quotations Pete - "How do you take your coffee?"
Agent Cooper - "Black as midnight on a moonless night."
Pete - "That's pretty black."
