Album Notes Originally released in 1976, TURN OF THE CENTURY is a two-LP compilation highlighting vibraphonist Gary Burton's Atlantic Records period during the early to mid-'70s. Coming out of the highly innovative jazz-rock of his celebrated late-'60s quartet with guitarist Larry Coryell, Burton embarked on a series of collaborative LPs with such varied musicians as Keith Jarrett, Stephane Grappelli, and nuevo tango master Astor Piazzolla, not to mention a harder R&B fusion session like GOOD VIBES, his 1969 Atlantic debut, represented here by "Vibrafinger," "I Never Loved a Man," and a cover of Gil Evans's "Las Vegas Tango."
