Album Notes Rapper Tum Tum, a member of Texas's Dirty South Rydaz, dropped TUM THOUSAND & SIX, his solo debut, in 2006. Like the Rydaz and his DSR cohort Big Tuck, Tum Tum specializes in woozy Dirty South rap with bass-infused, head-nodding beats and aggressive, half-chanted raps. Big Tuck makes guest appearances along with other Rydaz, and fellow high-profile statesmen Paul Wall and Mike Jones are also on hand to sweeten the tracks. There are plenty of speaking-bumping tracks here for fans of the genre, and TUM THOUSAND & SIX further illustrates the ascendancy of Dirty South rap in general and the Texas scene in particular.
