Led by producer Paul O'Neil, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra specializes in orchestral song cycles inspired by progressive and classic rock. The orchestra, which includes upwards of 60 pieces, recalls ELO, Asia, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, with a heavy lean toward lush arrangements and theatrical flourishes. Their six-song WALMART EXCLUSIVE CD upholds O'Neil's allegiance to both rock and classical styles and, like several of the group's previous offerings, focuses on unique takes on Christmas-themed material.
