Movie Description A soldier, reported dead in the war, returns home 20 years later. Wounded and with a new face and identity, the crippled man discovers that he has a grown son and that his wife has remarried.
Synopsis The honeymoon ends for newlyweds John and Elizabeth MacDonald when duty calls and he goes off to serve in World War I. During the fighting John is seriously maimed and disfigured, so he allows himself to be declared dead, changes his name to Erich Kessler, and starts a new life in Austria. Elizabeth eventually remarries, to a man named Larry Hamilton.
Twenty years later, the second world war rages, "Erich" returns to the USA, and finds employment in Larry's plant -- where he once again encounters Elizabeth.
Will the sparks still fly for Erich and Elizabeth? And if so, will she leave her husband and kids for her first love?
