Synopsis
With an exciting and unusual presentation, Mo Willems acquaints young readers with those magical etiquette gems: please, excuse me, sorry, and thank you. A gaggle of energetic mice put a host of multicultural children on the road to politeness using a landscape of balloons, signs, bubbles, arrows, banners, and more. Beginning with a blond-haired girl with a yen for cookies, the little gray creatures suggest that instead of just rushing to the cookie jar, that she "go ask a big person and please say 'please'!" Whether sharing toys, asking for gifts, or going on a roller coaster, saying please is in order. When a young boy causes the bath to overflow, "sorry" is necessary, "but you have to mean it!" Accompanied by a board game, as well as B&W line drawings with splashes of color.
