Movie Description The Mexican Western TIERRA DE VIOLENCIA (LAND OF VIOLENCE) is about a town caught in a struggle between competing interests that erupts into bloodshed. Plans are made to build a railroad through the town, but many of the wealthy citizens believe it will affect them negatively. They hire a group of vicious gunmen to attack the railroad and stop its construction, but the presence of the thugs changes the makeup of the town for the worse. The production of TIERRA DE VIOLENCIA was a family affair: it stars Rodolfo de Anda, was directed by his brother Raul de Anda Jr., and was written by their father, the celebrated Mexican filmmaker Raul de Anda.
