Seller's Comments: 1951 FIRST PRINTING, hardcover with DJ by Ross Carter, Appleton-Century Crofts, 299 pp. The author was a member of the 504th Parachute of the 82nd Airborne Division, the title of the book came from a diary found on a German Officer that opposed the 504th on the Anzio beachhead. X-library. In addition to the library stuff: Heavy wear along the bottom board edges, lighter across the top edges, some light scattered staining to edges, in a DJ with wear showing at corners and spine extremeties and a 1/2" tear at spine head and inside front flap in a mylar jacket cover that is glued to the boards.
