Henry Rollins is something of a modern day renaissance man; author, singer, actor, publisher, record executive, performance artist and all-around cool character. Spoken word performances are just one side of Rollins' considerable talent, but the recordings of said performances are among the most endearing Rollins-related artifacts. THINK TANK is a double CD that finds Rollins plying his verbal trade in front of an appreciative audience. In two shows recorded in 1997 and 1998, Rollins attacks the demons of contemporary society with humor, intelligence and passion without ever getting precious or pretentious. It may be his years spent as a hard-working punk singer with Black Flag that gave him his proletarian edge, but he's carried it over admirably into his other endeavors. THINK TANK will make you laugh, frown, wonder, and most importantly, think.
