Movie Description In 1916, as U.S. soldiers waged war against Pancho Villa's Mexican troops, Army Major Thomas Thorn (Gary Cooper) is assigned to lead five soldiers and a traitorous female prisoner (Rita Hayworth) to safety in the Texas town of Cordura. This seemingly simple task becomes increasingly complex , however, as the incessant squabbling between Thorn, whose record is marred by a past indiscretion, and the five men (all potential Congressional Medal of Honor winners) threatens to destroy them all.
Film Notes "Cordura" means "courage" in Spanish.
Filmed in Eastmancolor and Cinemascope, using Panavision lenses.
