Movie Description In 1964, B-movie star Jayne Mansfield went on a whirlwind tour through Rome, Paris, and Cannes as part of a playful documentary that has gained cult status as a sexploitation classic. Mansfield couldn't get away from being considered a second-rate Marilyn Monroe, so to exploit her life as a sex symbol, she went on this jaunt, posing with paparazzi in Rome, lighting up the Cannes Film Festival, hanging out with transvestite contest winners in Pigalle, proudly showing off her controversial spread in "Playboy," and walking the streets of "wicked, wicked" Paris with her beloved Chihuahua. She tosses coins in the Trevi Fountain in Rome, wonders about ancient orgies while watching scenes from her film THE LOVES OF HERCULES; visits a nudist island and takes off her clothes in a hidden area; watches men proposition prostitutes in the Italian countryside; and gawks at the women working at a topless shoeshine stand in Hollywood. This cheesecake camp classic is actually narrated by a woman pretending to be Jayne; Mansfield died in a tragic car accident before the film was finished. The documentary ends with Mansfield's ex-husband, bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay, talking about Jayne while walking around their mansion, reflecting on her death.
