Seller's Comments: This is a study of the Tao Te Ching and how important it is in Chinese thought. The author is Aurthur Waley, an expert on China and the Chinese people. The first part of the book is devoted to a history of China and then he brings in mystical work (like the Tao Te Ching) along with others, and their impact upon the Chinese--the government in particular. Book is in very good condition-very very small amount of exterior wear and interior is clean without any markings.
