Synopsis
A clever and entertaining tale, THE VIEW FROM MOUNT JOY is the story of small-town grocer Joe Anderson. Back in 1972, when Joe was in high school, he was lucky enough to date head cheerleader Kristi Casey. Now a grown man, Joe finds himself disappointed with his life, and finds his mind drifting back to 1972. He and Kristi have stayed in touch over the years, though now she is a famous Christian televangelist. Their paths could not have been more different, and Joe finds himself wondering how he ended up where he did, while Kristi managed to forge ahead in the world. As in her other novels, such as PATTY JANE'S HOUSE OF CURL, Lorna Landvik has crafted a warm story about the difficulty of letting go of the past, and learning to embrace your future.
