Album Notes Includes liner notes by Robyn Flans. Digitally remastered by Doug Schwartz (Audio Mechanic, Los Angeles, California). Unless you're an absolutely maniacal Patsy Cline completist (not a bad thing, necessarily, but certainly expensive) you can take the title of this two-disc best-of literally. Pound for pound, it's the best and most comprehensive Cline anthology--and destined to remain so. Cline was one of the first singers to crossover from the country music audience to widespread pop appeal, and she continues to be an influence: Loretta Lynn, Shelby Lynne, Reba McEntire and k.d. lang all learned from her. This set, gorgeously remastered, has all her hits and essential songs, from "Walkin' After Midnight" to "I Fall to Pieces" to "Sweet Dreams." The motherlode, in all senses of the term.
