Album Notes
All tracks have been digitally remastered.
Soft Cell existed for barely three years, from late 1981 to early '84, and they've released over twice as many compilations and remix projects in the ensuing years as they did proper albums in that brief lifespan. This set collects new and old remixes of Soft Cell tunes, spread over three lengthy discs, in an unwitting history of the various fads and fancies of dance music in the '80s and '90s. The box starts with a 15-minute 1999 reworking of (naturally) "Tainted Love," a tune which makes three other appearances over the course of these 29 tracks, including the classic original extended medley of it and "Where Did Our Love Go," a worthy dub mix and a 1991 reworking. All of the band's other singles are treated similarly. Soft Cell and remix fans will love this, though more casual listeners might find the sheer length of the set somewhat off-putting.

Industry Reviews
4 stars out of 5 - ...Rarely has a collection of 12-inchers so well represented a band's best work...
