Using the conceit of a fictive pizza shop whose disgruntled employees got turned around through attention and appreciation by their managers, business consultant Patrick Lencioni provides a useful and practical primer on how to motivate employees--and shows that it is not rocket science. People feel good about their jobs when they feel good about themselves on their jobs. Managers can make that happen by acknowledging their workers, making them feel needed, and providing measurable, positive goals that reinforce their workers' value to the company.
