Movie Description
This fine Disney period drama set during the reign of king Henry VIII tells of the ill-fated romance between Charles Brandon, Palace Captain of the Guard, and Princess Mary Tudor. Filmed on location in Europe.
Synopsis
Poor Princess Mary of England: she's in love with Charles -- a peon -- a situation that is frowned upon by the royal family. The monarch thus arranges to have Charles arrested. Now Mary must marry the infirmed and elderly King of France, or Charles will die. She agrees, but secretly intends to run off with Charles once the King expires. Meanwhile, the sinister Duke of Buckingham wants the Princess for himself, and begins to devise his own plan for doing away with Charles...
