Movie Description
Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn stars as Hagar Shipley in this adaptation of Margaret Laurence's beloved novel. At 90, Hagar may be considered old, but she hasn't stopped fighting. As her son and daughter-in-law take her to a nursing home, Hagar resists and remembers a lifetime of boldness and courage. THE STONE ANGEL tells Hagar's story in the past, as she began a forbidden romance. The film features a strong cast, including Ellen Page, Cole Hauser, Kevin Zegers, Dylan Baker, and newcomer Christine Horne as the young Hagar.
