Industry Reviews Determined to put a little adventure into her life, Rosalind Hinton takes her obliging Aunt Eudora and heads off to pay a call on returning prisoner-of-war George Ashford, the man she met as a schoolgirl and has never forgotten. But "George" isn't George at all he is Lord Bradford Stone, hero, spy, and the most mesmerizing man Rosalind has ever met. When an impulsive abduction results in a compromising situation, it takes all the creative machinations of a delightful grandmother to make sure love wins out. Although the initial set-up for this Regency is a bit confusing and some of the motivation is not entirely credible, the characters are engaging, their interactions charming, and the sexual tension fairly simmering in a warm, lively story that will please Kirkland's fans. Kirkland has written several earlier Regencies (The Noble Nephew, Zebra, 1998) and lives in Atlanta. Fox
