Fern Michaels kicks off her Godmother series with this raucous cross-country tale of a wealthy Southern widow who invades Hollywood. After putting her eighth husband in the ground, Teresa "Toots" Amelia Loudenberry is in need of a life-affirming adventure, so she collects her three best friends and heads for the left coast, with a plan to buy the tabloid newspaper where her daughter works.
