Synopsis Yet another installment in W.E.B. Griffin’s popular "Men at War" series, SABOTEURS is also the first collaboration between Griffin and his son, William Butterworth. Once again focusing the action in WWII, SABOTEURS features some of Griffin’s hard-boiled stock characters, including Eric Fulmar and Dick Canidy, and the story has several far-reaching, criss-crossing plotlines, including the OSS and the Mafia teaming up to liberate Sicily, and a possible biological attack on the very American troops poised to invade. Some readers might trade some of the historical detail for a more fulfilling and well-rounded ending, but fans of Griffin’s fast-paced style will be pleased with the exciting twists and turns.
