Ex-conservative and media watchdog David Brock examines the broad spectrum of conservative discourse that he thinks dominates the media and distorts the debate in America. His list of conspirators includes Fox News, talk radio, Christian broadcasting, Sunday morning pundits, and well-funded think-tanks such as the Heritage Foundation. He cites example after example of what he sees as outrageous speech, and he dissects motives, tactics, and style. The accumulated effect, he says, has been to cow the traditional media, and to make what used to be fringe thinking seem to be the center. Brock is the author of BLINDED BY THE RIGHT, in which he revealed his own history of dirty dealing in the conservative cause.
