Synopsis Adaptation of Muriel Spark's novel and Jay Presson Allen's stage play, about Jean Brodie, a flamboyant, unconventional school teacher in 1930's Edinburgh, Scotland, who flies in the face of the ultra-conservativism of the head mistress and Board of Governors at the Marcia Blaine School for Girls, as she tries to instill in her pupils the truth and beauty in art, history, literature, and sensuality.
