Movie Description This double feature contains the following two star-packed comedies.
PERFECT MAN: Hilary Duff stars in this comedy as Holly, a teenager whose lovelorn single mom (Heather Locklear) moves the family--including her youngest daughter (Aria Wallace)--to a new state every time she gets dumped, which is often. Their latest residence turns out to be in Brooklyn, where the now thoroughly destabilized Holly decides that enough is enough and works to prevent mom from dating yet another local loser. She uses a friend's handsome uncle (Chris Noth) as the unwitting basis for a fictional secret admirer to keep mom occupied, but the deception quickly spins out of control, resulting in some madcap high-jinks.
THE WEDDING DATE: Kat Ellis's (Debra Messing) worst nightmare is about to come true. Not only is her younger half-sister, Amy (Amy Adams), getting married before she does, but to add insult to injury, the groom's (Jack Davenport) best man is Kat's ex-fiancé, Jeffrey (Jeremy Sheffield). Two years after being dumped, Kat is a single New Yorker and can't bear to attend the festivities at her parents' London home alone, so she does the next best thing: she hires an escort to play her boyfriend. Her rented date, Nick (Dermot Mulroney), fits the bill perfectly. He's handsome, intelligent, well spoken, intuitive, and a perfect gentleman--a virtual bargain at $6,000. The plan? Make Kat's ex sorry that he ever let her go.
