Album Notes Bonzo Dog Band includes: Neil Innes. One of the most unexpected and delightful surprises in Strange Fruit's seemingly endless stream live recordings made for legendary British DJ John Peel's Radio One show is this four-song session recorded, on July 29th, 1969, by the Bonzo Dog Band. Two of the four songs, "Tent" and a faithful cover of Bobby "Boris" Pickett's "Monster Mash," appear on the Bonzos' 1995 compilation of radio sessions, UNPEELED. However, the set's other two songs, the excellent and extremely silly "We're Going To Bring It On Home" and "Sofa Head," not only don't appear on that collection but were apparently never otherwise recorded by the band. As a result, this brief EP is essential for all hardcore fans of the Bonzos, pop music's most important and influential satirists.
