Gr 4-8-A look at 15 of the most recent and intriguing finds. Each two-page spread provides factual information on an animal and its discovery, a "Dino Data" box, and a full-color painting. A few of the creatures such as the Seismosaurus and the Giganotosaurus have appeared in other books including Don Lessem's Seismosaurus (Carolrhoda, 1996), but for others, such as the Timimus and Afrovenator, this may be the best and only source of information. Sovak's excellent illustrations dramatically pose the dinosaurs in their natural surroundings, and Currie and Mastin keep the text lighthearted.
