Movie Description The first of four sequels to Universal's 1932 classic, THE MUMMY, tells the story of two amateur American archaeologists in Egypt, Steve Banning (Dick Foran) and Babe Jenson (Wallace Ford), who believe that they've found the map to the lost tomb of Princess Ananka in a vase at a bazaar. After enlisting financial help of a nightclub magician, they travel to the tomb. Little do they know they are being pursued by the deadly leader of the cult of Akran. As if that was not enough, they find to be guarded by a living and very deadly mummy--who will do anything to keep the princess's tomb from being defiled. A cracking popcorn picture with equal parts horror and comic relief, THE MUMMY'S hand is fun example of 1940's horror.
Synopsis The sequel to the popular original film, involves an expedition of American archaeologists headed by Steve Banning and Babe Jenson, who travel to Egypt in search of the undiscovered tomb of the Princess Ananka.
