With a few skeletons in his closet, namely a possible murder that he might have committed in a drunken haze, guilty longshoreman Bobo takes an isolated bait barge gig only to find the roughest waters are ahead of him. Bobo rescues the beautiful Anna from an attempted suicide and falls in love with her in short order, but Tiny, his clingy compadre, may use Bobo's unsavory past as blackmail to keep the new girl from getting between them.
