Movie Description
To mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw, Warner Home Video is releasing film and television versions of Shaw's plays. In this 1972 film version of THE MILLIONAIRESS, the worldly and wealthy Epifania (Maggie Smith) falls in love with a humble Egyptian doctor (Tom Baker). Before marrying, however, Epifania must live for month on a small allowance and her intended must turn his few pounds into a fortune. In this light-hearted comedy, Shaw turns a witty and wonderful conceit into an intriguing commentary on social class.
