Movie Description An acerbic Boston spin doctor (Garofalo) arrives in the rural hamlet of Ballinagra, Ireland in search of local color to use as fodder in her employer's flagging Senatorial campaign. But what she finds is a rustic nightmare, as her arrival coincides with the town's hectic matchmaking festival. What's more, the local matchmaker has a bet riding on his ability to pair her off with her annoying hotel neighbor, an equally crusty and unwilling novelist.
Industry Reviews "...Ms. Garofalo is capable of projecting an endearing childlike rapture..." New York Times - Stephen Holden (10/09/1997)
"...[Garofalo] is one of the most engaging actresses around. We relate with her cynical intelligence and the warmth of her smile..." Chicago Sun-Times - Roger Ebert (10/03/1997)
