Credits
Cast:Chico Marx, Harpo Marx

Synopsis
"At the Circus": The Marx Brothers save a mortgaged circus by convincing a Newport socialite to buy it for one show only.

"A Night at the Opera": Along with "Duck Soup," this spirited, operatic satire of high society ranks as one of the Marx Brothers' comic masterpieces. Groucho, Chico and Harpo attempt to pawn off their lovesick Italian friend to wealthy Margaret Dumont as the "world's greatest tenor." Needless to say, the plan goes awry and a nonstop series of verbal jabs, sight gags, and musical numbers soon follow. The stateroom scene in particular is a timeless classic that merits its reputation as one of the funniest scenes in film comedy.

"A Day at the Race": The Marx Brothers befriend a penniless girl with a fast horse and a mortgaged sanatorium. Soon, the racetrack and sanatorium become the launchpad for the madcap trio's set of devilish pranks and parodies.

Industry Reviews
"It contains two bona fide '30s classics..."
Premiere - Glenn Kenny (06/01/2004)

"Introducing quickfire Jewish wit and an anarchic insolence for authority into the mainstream, these seemingly slapdash movies are cinematic milestones."
Uncut - David Stubbs (01/01/2004)
