Hallmark's made-for-TV movie THE LONG SHOT is a heartwarming family film about second chances. When equestrian Annie Garrett (Julie Benz) is abandoned by her deadbeat husband, she moves herself, her seven-year-old daughter, and her beloved horse to a new job and home on a California horse ranch owned by the kindly Mary Lou (Marsha Mason). But Annie soon faces another setback when her horse is struck blind on the eve of a prestigious riding contest, forcing her to summon up all her courage in her quest for a new life.
