Synopsis
After learning that he is the son of a mortal woman and Poseidon, god of the sea, twelve-year-old Percy is sent to a summer camp for demigods like himself, and joins his new friends on a quest to prevent a war between the gods., Greek mythology, ADHD, and perilous adventures are just a few of the ingredients in this fast-paced middle-grade novel about 12-year-old half-blood (part human, part god) Percy Jackson. A longtime sufferer of ADHD, Percy discovers that these are actually side effects from his Olympian heritage, and after being expelled from boarding school, he is sent to a demigod haven, Camp Half Blood.
