Synopsis One lived in New Jersey and one in Sri Lanka, but that didn't get in the way of this collaboration between two science-fiction elder statesmen--one in his late 80s and the other in his 90s--Frederick Pohl and Arthur C. Clarke. The story they tell in THE LAST THEOREM is about a mathematician. Ranjit Subramanian's number theory expertise gets him courted by the CIA, and soon he's the midst of an intergalactic drama. The project was completed just before Clarke's death in 2008.
