Synopsis
Academic turned private detective Tres Navarre has once again found himself in the hot seat. The University of Texas at San Antonio is aggressively courting him for a position as the medieval studies chair. But when a bombing in the dean's office nearly kills him and two others, Tres finds himself on a manic chase to track down a killer whose mission may be to murder the members of a wealthy amusement park ride manufacturing family whose patriarch is known as the "King of Carnivals." Gangsters, drug dealers, and murderous family rivalry intermingle with San Antonio's vibrant Latino culture in this action-packed whodunit.
