Movie Description In the early 18th-century, a Carbonaro renegade on the run from advancing Austrian troops finds in the province of Manosque the beautiful wife of a French marquis who offers him shelter. Smitten, he risks his freedom to ensure her safe return to her home in Theus. A chivalrous tale adapted from the novel by Jean Giorno.
