Industry Reviews "Duchin is a living compendium of a hundred years of social history. This is a book that is brave and stylish....something pushes through this concrescence and keeps 'Ghost of a Chance' from becoming ironic or a pastiche....It is the story of Mr. Duchin's human nature, which is, by the evidence, very strong indeed." New York Times Book Review - George W. Trow (06/16/1996)
"The project evolved into a literal journey, for the act of recollection prompted Duchin to revisit the emblematic sites and people of his life, visits he touchingly evokes. He has allowed us to share that trip in this bittersweet gem of a book." Philadelphia Inquirer - Judy Bass (07/07/1996)
"Sure, the rich and famous are different from you and me, as F. Scott Fitzgerald might have put it: That's because their friends have excuses to write gossipy books like this. And we can forgive them because they pass the good times on to us." Los Angeles Times Book Review - Georgia Jones-Davis (08/04/1996)
